The Warrior Race has been around for just about 4 years in South Africa. This endurance race not only challenges the brave and adventurous physically, but mentally as well. The Black Ops is the most challenging category of the race, which demands a very high degree of fitness and strength.
The name Lumina has a very special meaning. This little blue eyed angel has a name is that combines the light and music. The setting was perfect for this shoot, with natural light streaming in everywhere you turn. Both grandmothers and great grandma were there to commemorate her 5th week in this world.
It doesn’t often happen that you get all four of the Smit children home and standing to have their picture taken. Although it took some convincing, they together with their own families, made this one of the more special family shoots I’ve done this year! Thank you to all of you for inviting me to spend the day with you!
This event was set on a stage of lush greenery, partnered with the perfect weather on one Winter’s day in August. Alimandi has been in the du Plessis family for just over 5 years. On any other day it is a nursery supplying the public with quality indigenous and water-wise plants…but once a year, it becomes a playground with live music, craft beer, laughter and a massive bonfire. Brothers Pieterjan and Oeloff launched this event, 4 years ago in memory of their late father.
The day’s talents consisted of Albert Frost, Gian Groen, DJ Dirty Harry, Myburgh and Lynne Poulsen.
